Grant Giving Emergency Grants
Our emergency grant giving enables older people in Bristol, Bath & North East Somerset, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire area to live independently in their own homes for as long as possible. Grants of up to £1,000 support those in financial need with the cost of home repairs and adaptations, mobility aids, home furnishings and more.
‘The grant from Anchor supplied carpet for P’s unfurnished flat and a sofa bed for carer A. With the support of Anchor and other local charities, they were able to equip their flat with essentials and build a positive, safer home.’
We only accept applications from referral organisations on behalf of individuals who are 55 or older and live in Bristol, Bath & North East Somerset, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.

Unfortunately, we can’t help with:
- general living expenses; debts or outstanding bills; moving or travel expenses; holidays or respite breaks; insurance costs; funeral costs; clothing; crockery and kitchen utensils; cleaning.
